Control Flow, Inc., a world leader in offshore motion compensation, pressure control, and pipe lay tensioning systems is seeking a strong Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer for its motion compensation group with the capability of working a design from conception all the way to commissioning.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• 5-10 years of experience designing mechanical/hydraulic systems
• Must have worked on projects from concept through production
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering is required
• Must have capability for conducting classical stress analysis
• Must be capable of working in AutoCAD. Inventor 3-D modeling a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communications capability
• Must be a team player
• Experience designing large, heavy load carrying equipment a plus
• Knowledge of ASME Sec VIII, Div 1, API, DnV, and ABS requirements a plus
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Read and understand customer submitted project design requirements
• Conceptualize design solutions to meet project requirements
• Oversee or conduct design layouts and conduct stress analysis to document design
• Interface with the customer during the project life
• Manage the creation of complete drawing packages, bills of materials, and design submittal packages
• Check all documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure projects meet delivery schedule requirements
• Troubleshoot and successfully resolve any discrepancies that occur during the manufacturing of the project
• Create Factory Acceptance Test Procedures to verify design compliance
• Prepare Installation, Operation, and Maintenance manuals to support projects
